Kanazawa

Rain, rain & some more rain

A week into our travels it's time to get some laundry done! Our hotel has washing machines available for guests to use for a small fee, and, to avoid having to go to the laundry room and find all the machines in use you can check the status from your in room tv!

Having loaded up a machine we checked our the hotels japanese breakfast buffet. The assortment was amazing and had alot of japanese breakfast items we never seen or heard of before along with a few western items. I think Magnus favorite is that you can eat sushi already for breakfast here in Japan!

With laundry done and breakfast finished it was time to get our sightseeing done. The plan for the day was to walk around Kanazawa and check out alot of places! Despite pouring rain and chilly temperatures we stuck with the plan!
First stop, hunt down some Hida Beef in Omicho Market, we also found some yummy curry bread and yellowtail skewers.

Next up was the Samurai quarters. A 20min walk later and still fairly dry we found the cozy alleys of Nagamachi Samurai District. Next up on our walk was Kanazawa Castle and it's surrounding parks.

It now started to get quite cold and the rain came from all directions. We decided it was best to head back to the hotel to heat up and put on some dry cloths (and check out the free cake buffet)
Tomorrow promises no rain and we have some time in morning to catch the final sights in Kanazawa!
